The cyclist struck in Wayland on Saturday was a 36-year-old Newton man, according to Wayland Police.
While police are still investigating the accident, no charges or citations have been filed, according to police.
The incident began on Saturday at 4:08 p.m. when police received a report of a cyclist involved in a crash with a car. The cyclist had been traveling north on Route 27 through the Route 20 intersection when it struck the car, which was turning east onto Route 20, according to police. The cyclist struck the front bumper of the car and flipped over it.
The victim, who suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, was taken by a MedFlight helicopter to a Boston hospital, according to police.
