The Wayland Children and Parents Association uploaded a number of photos of the event to our Pics & Clips Gallery.
Is there anything cuter than a dad reading stories to a group of enraptured children? We don't think so. Which is why we were so excited to see that the Wayland Children and Parents Association had uploaded a number of photos to the Wayland Patch Pics & Clips Gallery after a recent storytime at the Wayland Winter Farmers' Market. We've included one image here, but check out the full gallery at the link above for all the images, plus many more that your neighbors have added. That Pics & Clips Gallery is the spot for the photos and videos you capture while out and about in Wayland. Maybe your image will be our next Patch Reader Photo Feature.

The annual Halloween Parade brought princesses, monkeys, Sesame Street characters and other fun to the Wayland Town Building.
Sandy may have thrown a wrench into the Halloween festivities this year, but that doesn't mean the Wayland Recreation Department/Wayland Children and Parent's Association Halloween Parade wasn't a success. After being rescheduled from its original Monday, Oct. 29 date, the Halloween Parade marched through the halls of the Wayland Town Building on Thursday, Nov. 1. Check out our images of the fun and please add your own shots (we saw plenty of parents there with cameras).

The Wayland Children and Parents Association will host a "Curious Creatures" program on Nov. 11.
Have the desire to get to know a gecko? Maybe you'd like to hobnob with a frog? Or perhaps "chatting" with a chinchilla is more your speed? Even if none of these things strike your fancy, it could be a perfect pasttime for your kids during their Veterans Day holiday from school. The Wayland Children and Parents Association welcomes children and their parents to the Wayland Town Building gymnasium Nov. 11, for "Curious Creatures," an "interactive, educational animal show" featuring animals such as alligators, frogs, lizards, arachnids, flying squirrels or others. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the show begins at 10:45 a.m. WCPA members are $6 and nonmembers are $8.
