PHOTOS: Warriors Emerge Victorious In Thanksgiving Battle with Weston
The Warriors topped the Wildcats 35-7 during the annual Thanksgiving Day rivalry game, held this year at Wayland High School.
The home and visitor stands at the Wayland High School stadium were packed to capacity under a beautiful Thanksgiving Day sky this morning as Wayland scored five touchdowns on the way to a victory over rival Weston, 35-7. Weston struck first on an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter, but Wayland answered moments later with a 38-yard pass from quarterback Matt Goddard to Colman Lydon. The Warriors missed the point after attempt, but made up for that with their next touchdown. With 6:28 left in the second, Goddard connected with Robert Williams on a 12-yard pass for the score.
