Earth Day Fair Offers Something for Everyone

The sun shone brightly last Sunday for Wayland's third annual Earth Day Fair.

Passionate environmentalists and curious community members alike came out to the courtyard of the Wayland Town Building April 29 for the third annual Earth Day fair sponsored by the Wayland Green Team and Transition Wayland. Event organizers estimate that about 400 people mingled in the courtyard on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, making this year's fair better attended than the past two years combined. Organizer Kaat Vander Straeten said she believes holding the fair on a Sunday afternoon as well as focusing on attracting a wide variety of people probably contributed to this year's success. Visit with Patch, Other Booths During Earth Day Fair

The Second Annual Wayland Earth Day Fair, "Earth Day is Our Day," takes place Sunday at the Wayland Town Building.

Sunday, April 29, is all about being green in Wayland. And since green is Wayland Patch's favorite color (for obvious reasons), we've decided to jump into the experience. Wayland Patch will be one of more than 50 exhibitors taking part in this year's Earth Day fair, which is themed "Earth Day is Our Day." The fair takes place at the Wayland Town Building on Sunday, April 29 from noon to 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Friends of the Wayland Public Library's Spring Book and Bake Sale. The event will be outdoors, weather permitting. In the case of rain, the fair will move into the Town Building.
