School Committee, Board of Selectmen Races Will Be Contested
The deadline to submit papers to run for office in April was Feb. 12. Candidates can withdraw their names from contention until Feb. 26.
Wayland's 2013 Town Election has taken shape, with positions on the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen both contested. Donna E. Bouchard and Jeanne Downs will vie for the single seat on the School Committee being vacated by Shawn Kinney. Kinney took out papers on Feb. 1 to run for re-election, but did not return his papers by the Feb. 12, 4 p.m., deadline and will, therefore, not be on the ballot. In the Board of Selectmen race, Anthony Vincent Boschetto and David Gordon Cliff returned papers to run for the single seat being vacated by current Chairman John Bladon, who announced in January that he would not seek re-election.
