The D3 Super Bowl will take place at Bentley University, and Patch will once again be on hand to blog the game.
The Wayland Warriors are headed to the Super Bowl, and Patch will be on hand to live blog Saturday's big game. Wayland will face the Sharon Eagles Saturday at 10 a.m. at Bentley University in the Division III Super Bowl. Wayland bested Westwood in the semifinal round on Tuesday, while Sharon topped Pembroke in its semifinal game. According to the Massachusetts High School Coaches Assocition, Wayland's last appearance in a divisional Super Bowl was in 2006 when the Warriors beat Marshfield 28-0 for the Division 1A title. Saturday's battle against Wayland will mark Sharon's first trip to a divisional Super Bowl. Patch will be in the stands at Bentley Saturday morning for the big game, so come back here for our live blog.
The award is given in honor of the late Jim Griffin.

Athletic Director Justice Smith provided the press release below. Wayland High School football coach and dean of students Scott Parseghian received the Jim Griffin Coaching Award during the Wayland Boosters Spring Awards ceremony in June. The Wayland Athletic program wanted to create a symbol and blueprint of how a coach should act, lead and carry the legacy of our own late Jim Griffin. Griffin, a longtime guidance counselor at WHS, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in early 2012. As an honor to Jim and his family we created the Jim Griffin Coaching Award.
