The Wayland boys' basketball team will take on Saugus Tuesday in the first round of the MIAA tournament.
The Wayland High School boys' basketball team earned a No. 4 seed in North Division 3 of the 2013 MIAA Boys Basketball Tournament. The Warriors will open tournament play Tuesday night at home against Saugus, a No. 13 seed. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Wayland High School field house. It's been a big year for the Warriors already, with point guard Jaleel Bell scoring his 1,000th WHS career point and the team going 16-4 to earn a spot in the tournament. The winner of Tuesday's Wayland vs. Saugus game will take on the winner of the Feb. 28 game between No. 5 Arlington Catholic and No. 12 Stoneham in the next round of the tournament.
