Wayland hockey loses to Newton South
The Warriors fall to the Lions, 3-2.
WATERTOWN — Solid goaltending led to productive offense led to Newton South's 3-2 victory over Dual County (Div. 3) League foe Wayland last night at John A. Ryan Arena. "That was real good to get that win," said Newton South head coach Chris Ryberg. "They pressured us and we answered the bell." Lion goalie Charles Egan faced an onslaught of offense to begin the game and surrendered a goal, but he remained poised blocking a barrage of shots. Eventually, Newton South quelled Wayland's attack and Danny Ramin scored two goals thrusting the Lions into the lead after the first period.
