Are You Excited For The NHL to Come Back?

Despite violence in Vancouver earlier in the week, Boston's parade was calm and celebratory.

The city hosted a Rolling Rally for the Stanley Cup champion Bruins on Saturday, with duck boats holding the players and Lord Staney's Cup traveling through the packed streets of Boston. Did you venture into the city for the parade? Send us your photos (brooklyn.lowery@patch.com) or upload them directly to this article.

Bruins win the Stanley Cup for the first time in 39 years.

Chances are you've heard the news, but just in case you somehow how missed it, please allow Patch to get you in-the-know: The Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup last night in Vancouver. After struggling in Vancouver throughout the Stanley Cup finals, the Bruins pulled off a shut-out to claim the cup, beating the Vancouver Canucks 4-0. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, according to the Boston Herald, is meeting with Bruins officials this morning to determine a time for a celebratory parade. It will likely be either Friday or Saturday. Patch will keep you posted on the details. In the meantime, did you watch the game last night? We'd love to see your celebratory photos if you've got them.
