UPDATE: Nstar Estimates Full Restoration After Pats Game Kickoff

Crews are working to restore power after wind took down trees and power lines in Wayland Sunday morning.

[Update] Nstar crews are currently working on a major power outage caused by a tree that tumbled into power lines on Plain Road at about 11:30 a.m. But the news isn't good for Pats fans. Nstar spokeswoman Mary Ellen Molloy said the current estimate to restore all Wayland customers is 8:30 p.m.  Molloy said that as of 2:30 p.m., Nstar had about 540 customers in Wayland without power and expected to have about 200 of those restored by 3 p.m. Crews were working to clear the downed tree at Plain Road, which must occur before Nstar can work on the lines there, Molloy said. The other 300 customers without power will be restored once that tree is cleared. [Update] At 2:05 p.m., Nstar was reporting only 257 customers in Wayland without power. …
