Wayland's Top Priority in 2012 Is ...

We asked what Wayland's priority should be in 2012 and you responded.

November's Special Town Meeting appears to have been just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your devotion to lowering Wayland's taxes. Last week, we asked Wayland Patch readers what Wayland's top priority in 2012 should be and taxes seem to be at the top of your priority list. Nearly 60 of you voted -- 58 to be precise -- and lowering taxes was the clear winner, garnering 36 percent of the vote. Coming in second at 20 percent was growing the commercial tax base in town, which has as much to do with lowering taxes as increasing the number of stores and restaurants in town.
