Carriage House at Lee's Farm Construction Ahead of Schedule

The Carriage House at Lee's Farm housing development is well underway on Route 20 in Wayland. An opening date is estimated for late this year.

The Lee's Farm farm stand has seen more action lately than it has in years as construction got underway late last year on Carriage House at Lee's Farm. The site at 134 Boston Post Road (across from Prime131) will soon be home to a 62-room, assisted living and memory care facility. "It is ahead of schedule due to the very good weather lately," said Gerry Gallin, corporate marketing liaison with Northbridge Companies, the site developer. "I'm surprised it's going so quickly." Gallin said the facility's opening was originally scheduled for February 2014, but construction is about two months ahead of schedule. The new estimated opening is late December 2013. What's Going on at the Lee's Farm Property?

It's another edition of You Ask, Patch Answers.

It's hard to miss the construction fencing and activity at the Lee's Farm site at 134 Boston Post Road (across from Prime131). Which is why it isn't all that surprising that we've heard from a couple of people wondering "What's going on at the Lee's Farm site?" We're so glad you asked: Town Planner Sarkis Sarkisian said the project getting off the ground is one that has been approved since November of last year. Carriage House at Lee's Farm will be a 62-room, assisted living and memory care facility to be located on part of land formerly owned by the Bongiorno family. The family owned about 10 acres total at the site and divided the land into into two parcels, each about five acres. One of those was sold to the Northbridge Companies for …

Would be amazing to see a dispensers open that close to assisted living. It makes commercial sense, and while kind of funny, it would be an amazing image to showcase the harmlessness of medical marijuana dispensaries.   more ›
