The current Wayland High School building was dedicated in 1961 and was quickly recognized for its archtectural elements as well as for providing an environment known for academic excellence. The building continues to serve the high school community of Wayland.

The wieght room AKA House of pain will become the new studio facility for WayCam TV in 2012 during the 2011 year of construction of the new high school and after the field renovations are completed WayCam TV the towns local access cable station will convert the space into a telivision broadcast facility and offices for the studio we are in the planning and design stages and the leasing negoiations with the School Committee the town meeting last fall authorized the school department to transfer the space to the board of selectmen for the purpose of sending out request for proposal to lease the space WayCam TV provides the high school student with an elective in TV production and several students gone into field of TV production and through our scholar ship program we have awarded 6 scholarships
