The Center for the Arts in Natick Hosts Atlas String Quartet

Through a partnership with NEC, TCAN presents the winners of the 2013 New England Conservatory Honors Competition, the Atlas String Quartet.

Hailing from New York City, Washington DC, South Carolina, and Chicago, these four musicians share a vision that chamber music embodies both intellectual and emotional vitality.

Members of the quartet have performed at venues such as Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and the Sydney Opera house.

The Atlas String Quartet performs a full recital in NEC’s Jordan Hall in May, 2014.

The scheduled program is:

  • BARTOK: String Quartet No. 4 in C Major, Sz. 91: I. Allegro
  • BACH: Partita No. 1 in B Minor for Solo Violin
  • NORIKO MIURA: Walk With the Light While Shining, for Violin and Cello
  • BEETHOVEN: String Quartet in E-flat Major, op. 74 ("Harp")
  • BARTOK: String Quartet No. 4 in C Major, Sz. 91: V. Allegro Molto.

The TCAN Young Masters Series is sponsored by the Roy L. Komack Memorial Fund.
