Wayland Teams Kick Off MIAA Tournaments This Week

Wayland High School has multiple teams in the hockey and basketball tournaments.

Two Wayland High School athletic teams head into the MIAA tournament this week.

Boys basketball

Wayland High boys hoops team will square off with St. Bernard's on Wednesday. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at St. Bernard's.

Wayland is the number 5 seed in the Division 2 Central tournament and finished the year at 10-8. The top seed in the Division 2 Central tourney is Concord-Carlisle, which went 17-2 this year.

Boys hockey

Wayland High School's boys' hockey team will take on Lynn on March 2 in Chelmsford. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Wayland finished the year at 12-5-3 and is the number 4 seed in the Division 3 North tournament.

Girls Hockey

The Wayland/Weston girls' hockey team (10-7-3) will play Sandwich Tuesday night at Rivers MacDowell Arena. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:50 p.m.
