Wayland Soccer Team Goes Undefeated in Weekend Tourney

The Natick Soccer Club hosted the 2012 Columbus Day Tournament.

Columbus Day weekend, a group of girls from the Wayland U9 soccer program joined forces to take on the likes of Brookline, Newton, Sudbury and Mansfield in the Natick Soccer Club 2012 Columbus Day Tournament.

Led by coaches Vasu Nagalingam, Tom Kiefer and Michael Delman, the girls quickly built a team chemistry that worked well for them, and yielded an undefeated run, winning two and tying two against tough competition.

Kudos to Natick for putting on such an extremely well-organized tournament that fielded more 300 teams, so many that they were required to secure fields in the neighboring towns of Sherborn and Wellesley to accommodate. Despite the size, distances between fields and sheer numbers, all was handled smoothly.
