Wayland Girls Volleyball Posts Season's First Win

Wayland High School's girls varsity volleyball team stepped up against Waltham Wednesday night.

Wednesday evening the Wayland girls volleyball team earned its first win of the season against Waltham High School.

Set scores were 27-25, 25-9 and 25-22. Wayland showed a lot of fight coming back to win the third set after starting the set down 1-12.

Senior captain Emily VanMulbreght had 15 assists in the match, Junior Alex Van Rooyen had 6 kills in the match and seniors Karen O’Donnell and Captain Olivia Shaw each had 9 service aces. 

They played well all game and senior Madeline Brown stepped it up at the libero position.
