The votes are in and Wayland Public Schools will not alter December vacation to make up a couple of early-season snow days.

asking parents to vote on the possibility of making up during December vacation either one or both snow days caused by the October nor'easter.

Fifty-two percent of parents who participate in the poll, however, voted to leave the schedule as is and make up the snow days at the end of the school year in June. The results were a bit different among staff, with only 23 percent voting to keep the December schedule as is, but Superintendent Paul Stein said he did hear from a number of staff members that they were unable to change plans they'd already made, "creating  significant converage problem."
