Wayland Public Schools Closing Early Friday, Feb. 8

The nor'easter is expected to become intense by early afternoon.

[ORIGINAL ARTICLE] Wayland Public Schools Superintendent Paul Stein has decided to send students home early on Friday Feb. 8, ahead of the predicted nor'easter.

  • Wayland Middle School and Wayland High School will dismiss at 11 a.m.
  • The Loker School, Claypit Hill School and Happy Hollow School will dismiss at 12 p.m.

Stein said that these plans could change if the governor calls for a different response statewide.

Forecasters are calling for a massive nor'easter to drop as much as 24 inches of snow (or more) in Wayland and surrounding areas begining Friday morning.
