Middle School Offices Relocating Next Week

The roof replacement project will displace Wayland Middle School front office employees temporarily.

Wayland Middle School administrators and office staff will relocate temporarily next week to accommodate the ongoing roof replacement project.

Beginning Monday, Aug. 6, the front office operations will move to the sixth grade wing and the front door as WMS will be locked while crews replace the roof above that area.

According to an announcement, the roof replacement over the main office area and front lobby should be completed within the next week or two, weather permitting. Until then, the staff will be working to compile schedules and prepare for the 2013-14 school year from a makeshift office space.

Staff will be primarily available via email during this relocation period and individuals are encouraged to wait to address matters that aren't critically important with the staff.

"If your need is urgent or important, please don't hesitate to contact us," the announcement reads. "The best way to reach us will be by email.  We will promptly respond and help you in any way we can. If email will not work for you, please call us. If you must come to the school, you'll need to enter through the 6th grade wing on the side of the building.  We will be located in classrooms just inside that door."

Parents are also reminded that WMS is currently a construction zone and are asked to discourage children from using the parking lot as an area to ride bikes or otherwise play right now.
