Wayland Public Schools students tested above the state averages on the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System tests.
The MCAS results for tests taken in the spring were announced last week.
English
In English, students tested 34 percent advanced, 52 percent proficient, 11 percent needs improvement and 2 percent failing compared to the state average of 19, 23, 50 and eight respectively.
Math
Students tested 49 percent advanced, 33 percent proficient, 14 percent needs improvement and four percent failing compared to the state average of 28, 33 25 and 14 percent respectively.
Science & Tech
Students tested at 32 percent advanced 49 percent proficient, 16 percent needs improvement and two percent failing compared to the state average of 16, 37, 35 and 12 percent respectively.
