2012-13 Orientation Day Bus Routes Announced

rising sixth graders will have a chance to preview their new school during an orientation event on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Sixth Grade Orientation Day will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, and bus service will be provided for both travel to and from WMS.

On Aug. 30, buses will operate on modified schedules with the first stop for pickup on all routes occuring at 8:15 a.m. There are no scheduled stop times for Orientation Day, so students should be at their stops based upon that 8:15 start time.

Buses will drop students off along the same route that afternoon, and drop-off times will be based upon the noon dismissal time and the number of students riding the bus.

No bus passes are required for Orientation Day.

There is not a separate Orientation Day scheduled for ninth graders at this year. Instead, ninth graders and transfer students will report at 7:30 a.m. on the first day of school, Sept. 4, while 10th-12th graders won't report until 10 a.m.
