Whole Foods Shopping Center Sells to New York-Based Developer
Wayland Village Plaza reportedly sold for $6.3 million.
Wayland Village Plaza, the shopping center housing Whole Foods Market on Route 20, has sold to a New York-based developer.
Katz Properties purchased the 31,677-square-foot shopping center for $6.3 million, according the Boston Business Journal.
The property, located at 297 Boston Post Road (Route 20), is anchored by Whole Foods Market and also houses Water Lily, Chinney's Cleaners, Wayland Pack and Ship, and the store front occupied by the Wayland Photo Video Store until mid-2012.

"There's no indication that we're leaving; we have no plans of leaving," Katie Lamie, Whole Foods marketing team leader, told Patch. "At some point [the sale] will create some form of change, but in terms of the day-to-day functioning of the store, it will stay the same."
According to the Katz Properties website, the property manager for Wayland Village Plaza is Fred McFadden.

The shopping center had been owned by Henri and Isaac Mehrez since the 1980s, the journal reports.
