Tailgaters Grille Opens in Marlborough

The restaurant in the Staple's Plaza on Boston Post Road East had its grand opening last week.

Why brave the cold when you can have the tailgating experience inside with a plethera of televisions? That is the question behind the Tailgaters in Acton and now at its new location in Marlborough.

"It's the grilled, tailgating experience," said Chris Rotti, the kitchen manager who explained burgers are the restaurants specialty. "In the winter it's nice. You don't actually have to tailgate. You can come inside and we can cook it for you."

The experience goes beyond the food and lands squarely in the bar with multiple TV's that will stream in the NFL Package to the restaurant and bar. Even the booths have individual TV's to let you choose the game of your choice.

During certain Patriots games, former players will even be making appearances.

The original restaurant was in Clinton and started roughly five years ago, said Kim Reardon, a general manager at the restaurant.

The restaurant has been opened for three months, being delayed due to issues around the liquor license, but recently held its grand opening last week with all the finishing touches having been put on the location which has been other restaurants previously.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until midnight.

Is this owned by the fireman who burns things to the ground and tries to blow his wife up with a gas drier?

Was looking forward to checking this place out.... Until I read the Yelp reviews and saw the across the board consistency of bad bad reviews which is acceptable in its initial opening but the place has been open for 3-4 months. The place has to pay attention to its reviews cause its not busy there and they are trying to spark business by having The Patch advertise that they just opened and everyone knows that they didnt.

Have eaten ther three times and it was a disaster the first time. The waitress told me they opened with no training we got seated right away but then no one even acknowledged our presence for fifteen minutes. \We were sitting here with our menus standing up. Finally I stopped someone and asked if we had a waiter and then they got us some service. They food was decent but heated plates would help as the food was lukewarm. Give me back Applebees or Ruby Tuesdays..

YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE!!!!!!! I have visited the Marlboro location a few times now and have not had a single bad experience. We were pleasantly greeted at the door, brought to our seats at the bar and were quickly greeted with a HUGE smile, menus, and an invitation to have a drink. I ordered a Kettle One sour and my buddy had a double Wild Turkey straight. We were pleased with the friendly pour! Our food was came out fast and was cooked perfectly. After our meal the chef came out from the kitchen and started taking bottles from the bar. I asked what he was doing... he was going to "hook us up with some of his creative sauses"... He came out with the most delicious sauses and fries on the house. Our service was impressive, our food was fantastic, and our bartender not only multi-tasked the whole night but she really engaged us in conversation... great conversation. We had a BLAST. It turns out that the lady that took care of us and made sure we were "good" was also the Manager. No better place to make sure ALL of her patrons are being taken care of than right there where you can see the entire operation. GREAT JOB KIM. See you soon and often.
