Where Do the Democratic Congressional Candidates Stand on Syria?

Only one Democratic candidate running for Congressman Edward J. Markey’s House of Representatives seat said he would oppose authorizing the president to use military force in Syria, reported The Boston Globe.

“I believe that military intervention is premature and I would vote no. I believe it has the potential worsen the crisis,” State Rep. Carl M. Sciortino (D-Medford) told The Globe.

The other four Democrats running in the race – State Senators Katherine Clark and Will Brownsberger and Karen Spilka and Middlesex Count Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian – all said they need more information before deciding on military force in Syria, reported The Globe.
