The Wayland Board of Selectmen plans to formally appoint Robert Mercier as the interim town administrator on Dec. 2., according to a preview notice of the Monday selectmen's meeting.
Specifically, selectmen plan to vote to appoint Mercier, who will be a part-time employee.
Mercier's appointment comes after selectmen fired former town administrator Fred Turkington in August. Since then, interim town administrator JohN Senchyshyn has served in that role.
