Wayland Selectmen to Revisit TA Termination Wednesday

The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Building.

The Wayland Board of Selectmen will vote Wednesday night on whether to confirm and ratify the previous termination of former town administrator Fred Turkington.

The move is meant to appease Wayland resident Kim Reichelt's previous Open Meeting Law complaints in which she alleges the selectmen discussed firing Turkington prior to their Aug. 26 meeting and executed the firing under a vague agenda item. Selectmen have denied they broke the law but the Massachusetts Attorney General's office is reviewing the complaints.

The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Town Building.

The selectmen also plan to discuss the search for a new permanent town administrator. The Wednesday meeting had been scheduled for Monday but was moved due to a meeting conflict with the Wayland Public Schools.
