Wayland BOS to Discuss Response to OML Violation

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

At its Dec. 9 meeting, the Wayland Board of Selectmen plan to respond to the recent finding that they violated the state's Open Meeting Law in firing former town administrator Fred Turkington, according to the meeting agenda.

Selectmen also plan to review their status with reviewing trainings and compliance with the law, according to the agenda.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Wayland Town Building.

In November, the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office concluded selectmen broke the law in part when it held an Aug. 26 meeting to terminate Turkington's employment.
