Volunteers Needed for River's Edge Housing Project Advisory Committee

Be a part of this important committee.

The Board of Selectmen is seeking applicants to serve on the River’s Edge Advisory Committee as established by Article 16 at the April 2014 Town Meeting, the town posted on its website.

River’s Edge is a proposed development of affordable and market-rate rental housing units on the location of the former Septage Facility at 484-490 Boston Post Road.  The purpose of the Committee is to participate in the process to create and issue a public Request For Proposals (RFP) for the project and thereafter to advise the Selectmen on the disposition of the land and the best bid proposal(s) for the Town.  Specifically, the Committee will assist in the development of an RFP, tour comparable developments, establish bid criteria, analyze and compare bid proposals, interview top-rated bidders and then provide recommendations to the Board of Selectmen.

Interested parties should possess professional expertise or Town experience in at least one of the following disciplines: real estate financing or development, market and/or affordable rental housing, architectural design, land use planning or engineering, senior housing issues, real estate or environmental law.
Two at-large citizens are needed to serve on this committee.
