Wayland Woman Arrested for Knife Incident

The following information was provided by the Wayland Police Department. Where charges or arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate an arrest.

Police arrested two people last week, including one person for assault and battery, according to police 

At around 1:35 a.m. on Nov. 10, police responded to a call reporting a domestic dispute at 10 Joyce Road. After officers responded and investigated, they arrested Michelle Meltzer, 47, of 10 Joyce Rd., Wayland and charged her with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. Police said a knife had been used during the dispute. Meltzer was later released on cash bail on a promise to appear at a future hearing at Framingham District Court.

On Nov. 11, at around 9:51 p.m., police received a report of car rollover on River Road. Officers arrived and found a car had veered off the road and was on its side. Firefighters pulled the driver to safety.

Police, after investigating, arrested Paul Wright, 28, of 12 Karal Drive, Framingham, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, a marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Karal was later released on bail and is set for a future hearing at Framingham District Court.

Karal was not injured in the incident.
