Wayland PD Stepping Up Drunk Driving Patrols Through Labor Day

Remember to designate a driver if you plan to drink. Wayland Police are stepping up patrols.

The Wayland Police Department will join more than 100 other local departments and thousands nationwide participating in the federally funded “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

The campaign, administered by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Highway Safety Division, runs from Friday, Aug. 16 through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.

During this time, extra patrols targeting drunk drivers will be on Wayland streets, according to the Wayland Police Department page on Facebook.
