Police Log: Chicken Littles in the Road, Ducks in a Drain and OUI

A Concord man is facing an operating under the influence charge, his second offense, after a collision with a school bus last week in north Wayland.

According to Wayland Police, Officer Lynnet Sloan responeded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Glezen Lane and Hazelbrook Road just after 5:30 p.m. on July 12.

The crash involved a school bus and a sedan, according to a press release, with the sedan driven by Waseen A. Sheikh, 58, of 53 Mattison Drive in Concord.

After talking with witnesses and investigating the crash, Sheikh was arrested and charged with his second offense of operating under the influence (liquor) and a stop sign violation.

He was book and released on bail after promising to appear at Framingham District Court.
