Fire Log: Reported Gas Pipe Rupture, Cooking Fire and Wires Down

(Fire Log for Sept. 17-23, 2012) The following information was supplied by the Wayland Fire Department.

The Wayland Fire Department answered 65 calls for assistance during the week of Sept. 17-23, 2012. This is a summary of those incidents excepting standard inspections and training:

Monday, Sept. 17, 2012
6:22 a.m. - Green Way, assistance needed

7:04 a.m. - Pelham Island Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

11:17 a.m. - School St, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

3:55 p.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

8:30 p.m. - 54 Three Ponds Rd, caller reported wire down in front of house

Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012
1:58 p.m. - Rolling Lane, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

2:38 p.m. - Caller reported a small outside fire on the aqueduct

5:06 p.m. - Astra, medical assistance needed

6:25 p.m. - 32 Pine Ridge Rd, smoke detector placement

6:50 p.m. - 19 Three Ponds Rd & 48 Lake Shore Dr, callers reported wires down

9:40 p.m. - 111 Plain Rd, telephone alarm of fire

9:49 p.m. - Dudley Rd, assistance needed

12:03 a.m. - 4 Black Oak Rd, callers reported a possible transformer explosion, nothing found

6:32 a.m. - Dudley Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

7:37 a.m. - 38 Moore Rd, caller reported tree down on wires

10:04 a.m. - 28 Woodridge Rd, tree branch down on wires

12:03 p.m. - 397 Boston Post Rd, caller reported a gas pipe rupture

12:02 p.m. - Old Connecticut Path, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

7:25 a.m. - 31 Snake Brook Rd, telephone alarm of fire due to cooking

8:35 a.m. - 169 Rice Rd & 6 Loker St, fire drill conducted

10:17 a.m. - Three Ponds Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

11:36  a.m. - Concord Rd Lincoln, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

11:47 a.m. - 196 Oxbow Rd, smoke detector placement

11:51 a.m. - Loker St, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

1:16 p.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

1:28 p.m. - Green Way, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick
