Fire Log: Insulation Fire, Gas Line Issues, and Vehicle Accidents

(Dec. 3-9, 2012) The following information was supplied by the Wayland Fire Department.

The Wayland Fire Department answered 59 calls for assistance during the week of Dec. 3-9, 2012. This is a summary of those incidents excepting standard inspections and training.

Monday, Dec. 3, 2012
6:06 a.m. - 40 Cochituate Rd, motor vehicle accident, no injuries reported

7:20 a.m. - Glen Lane Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

8:06 a.m. - 124 East Plain St & 526 Boston Post Rd, fire alarm system work

10:04 a.m. - Boston Post Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

10:56 a.m. - RT 128 Waltham, motor vehicle accident, two persons transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

2:44 p.m. - 400 Boston Post Rd, service call

10:05 a.m. - 188 Commonwealth Rd, fire alarm system work

10:27 a.m. - 22 Marshall Terrace, oil tank removal

11:08 a.m. - 1 Cole Rd, oil burner inspection

4:06 p.m. - 642 Boston Post Rd Sudbury, motor vehicle accident, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

5:47 a.m. - Green Way, assistance needed

10:14 a.m. - 6 Sears Rd, caller reported a small gas leak

3:43 p.m. - 12 Winter St, carbon monoxide activation due to faulty battery

6:43 p.m. - Sunset Rd, accidental activation of medical alert

9:10 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

10:15 a.m. - Maiden Lane, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

11:22 a.m. - 34 Lakeview Rd, inspection of tank removal and oil burner

1:29 p.m. - 1 Cole Rd, oil burner inspection

1:36 p.m. - Lake Shore Dr, well being check

1:44 p.m. - 151 Boston Post Rd Sudbury, motor vehicle accident, no injuries reported

1:51 p.m. - 120 Commonwealth Rd, caller reported smoke in home due to fireplace insert

2:06 p.m. - 67 Loker St, service call

2:09 p.m. - Andrew Ave, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

9:54 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

12:20 p.m. - 21 Landgon Rd, caller reported a gas line rupture in the street

1:08 p.m. - Oxbow Rd, well being check

3:38 p.m. - 151 Plain Rd, tank removal inspection

4:36  p.m. - 526 Boston Post Rd, telephone alarm of fire

4:49 p.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

5:57 p.m. - Sylvan Way, medical assistance needed

11:03 a.m. - 106 Main St, caller reported a leaking water pipe in the ceiling

3:28 p.m. - 106 Main St, assist with residential lockout

4:02 p.m. - 321 Commonwealth Rd, fire alarm system work

8:25 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical assistance needed

10:32 p.m. - Valley View Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

11:21 p.m. - Simpson Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

4:37 a.m. - Boston Post Rd, motor vehicle accident one person transported to Lahey Clinic

9:29 a.m. - 21 Lakeview Rd, caller reported a fire in the insulation inside a wall in the bathroom.

3:32 p.m. - Cochituate Rd, motor vehicle accident, no injuries reported

5:18 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

11:01 p.m. - Cedar Crest, well being check
