Fire Log: Gas Odors, Burning Leaves and Medical Calls

(Fire Log for Oct. 22-28, 2012) The following information was supplied by the Wayland Fire Department.

The Wayland Fire Department answered 55 calls for assistance during the week of Oct. 22-28, 2012. This is a summary of those incidents, excepting training and standard inspections.

5:54 a.m. - Heartstone Circle, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

9:30 a.m. - Boston Post Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

9:28 a.m. - 5 Damon St, fire drill conducted

11:41 a.m. - Joyce Rd, assistance needed

12:02  p.m. - 400 Boston Post Rd, fire alarm system work

4:12 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

5:17 p.m. - 49 Old Sudbury Rd, caller reported inside odor of natural gas

10:08 p.m. - Sears Rd, well being check

11:59 p.m. - 10 Green Way, service call

9:02 a.m. - 6 Claypit Hill Rd, caller reported strong outside odor of natural gas

9:23 a.m. - 5 Brooks Rd, oil burner inspection

10:50 a.m. - 397 & 524 Boston Post Rd, fire alarm system work

1:20 p.m. - 34 Lincoln Rd, accidental activation of alarm system

2:21 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

4:06 p.m. - 18 Pemberton Rd, service call

4:22 p.m. - King St, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

4:23 p.m. - 367 Commonwealth Rd, activation of fire alarm system due to cooking

4:38 p.m. - 18 Bayfield Rd, service call

4:52 p.m. - 26 Sedgemeadow Rd, activation of carbon monoxide detector

7:18 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

11:51 a.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical assistance needed

2:26 p.m. - 3 Cobblestone Circle, natural gas line struck by contractor

10:47 p.m. - 90 Commonwealth Rd, caller reported odor of outside smoke in the area
