Fire Log: Chimenea in Flames, Accidents with Injuries and More

(Dec. 31, 2012-Jan. 6, 2013) The following information was supplied by the Wayland Fire Department.

The Wayland Fire Department answered 70 calls for assistance during the week of Dec. 31, 2012 to Jan. 6, 2013. This is a summary of those incidents excepting standard inspections and training.

Monday, Jan. 31, 2012
7:22 a.m. - 394 Boston Post Rd Weston, mutual aid to the Town of Weston

10:24 a.m. - Old Coach Rd Sudbury, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

11:47 a.m. - 86 Claypit Hill Rd, 63 Pequot Rd, fire alarm system work

1:48 p.m. - Draper Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Emerson Hospital

3:17 p.m. - 41 Cochituate Rd, activation of alarm system, no problem found

3:49 p.m. - Old Connecticut Path, medical assistance needed

4:20 p.m. - Cochituate Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

4:26 p.m. - 1703 Bayberry, caller reported seeing flames at rear of building coming from a chimenea.    

4:36 p.m. - Commonwealth Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

5:33 p.m. - 49 Loker St, 41 Cochituate Rd, fire alarm system work

6:33 p.m. - 253 Cochituate Rd, service call

8:24 p.m. - 9 Pemberton Rd, assist with residential lockout

10:58 a.m. - Dean Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

2:02 p.m. - Mitchell St, assistance needed

3:23 p.m. - Cochituate Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

5:04 p.m. - Damon St, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

5:39 p.m. - 310 Commonwealth Rd, service call

8:21 p.m. - Green Way, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

9:42 p.m. - 163 West Plain St, service call

8:41 a.m. - 311 Boston Post Rd, assist with a leaking water heater

9:11 a.m. - Stonebridge Rd, medical assistance needed

9:19 a.m. - Willowbrook Lane, medical emergency, one person transported to Beth Israel Hospital

11:07 a.m. - Sears Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

3:41 p.m. - 24 Indian Rd, service call

5:48 p.m. - Lake Shore Dr, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

9:09 p.m. - 7 Keith Rd, activation of carbon monoxide detector

10:03 p.m. - 310 Willowbrook Dr, assist with residential lockout

7:58 a.m. - Old Connecticut Path, medical emergency, one person transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital

9:20 a.m. - 25 Cameron Rd, caller reported activation of smoke detectors

9:42 a.m. - Lake Shore Dr, medical emergency, one person transported to Brigham & Woman’s Hospital

9:42 a.m. - 27 Shawmut Ave Ext, installation of smoke detectors

12:15 p.m. - 175 Concord Rd, activation of carbon monoxide detector

4:33 p.m. - South Ave @ Ridgeway Rd, motor vehicle accident, one person transported to Newton Wellesley Hospital

9:57 p.m. - 10 Sycamore Rd, caller requested assistance with a water problem

3:27 a.m. - Spencer Circle, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Framingham

11:43 a.m. - Bent Ave, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

4:54 p.m. - 14 Elissa Ave, activation of alarm system

11:04 a.m. - Lakeview Rd, medical emergency, one person transported to MWMC Natick

4:16 p.m. - 150 Commonwealth Rd, assist with motor vehicle lockout

5:26 p.m. - 106 Main St, assist with residential lockout

7:59 p.m. - 10 Bent Ave, caller reported odor of smoke in the building
