Dramatic Video Shows Wayland Bike Crash

UPDATE, Oct. 18: Wayland Police Chief Robert Irving issued a brief statement on traffic cameras.

"The town of Wayland does not have any surveillance camera at any intersection in town.  This video was captured on a security camera that is located at the Public Safety Building that provides video security for the police and fire facility.  The camera that covers the west facing side of the building happens to also cover much of the intersection," Irving said.

Dramatic new video shows the incredible impact a cyclist felt last month when a car struck him as he was proceeding through the intersection of Routes 20 and 27.

According to 7News, the driver of the car and the cyclist both claim they had yellow lights. Witnesses told police the lights were red at the time of the crash. However, the video does not show the lights.

Nobody has been charged in the crash and the cyclist is reportedly doing OK, according to 7News.
