Vote for Fletcher for School Committee

Wayland has excellent schools and a hard working, dedicated school committee, thanks in part to Barb Fletcher, the current school committee chairperson.  We heartily support Barb Fletcher’s re-election to the school committee. 

Barb is an extremely intelligent and thoughtful person who eagerly rolls up her sleeves to get to work. This work has resulted in the building the new high school, the distribution of laptops to every high school student, the hiring of two high school principals and a district superintendent, and the implementation of measures in the district’s cost structure to find the funds for these landmark initiatives. Her guiding purpose has always been the provision of the best education possible within an affordable tax plan.

Cutting costs is a continuous challenge made even more important during this difficult economy, and Barb’s background in the financial sector is especially useful for this purpose. She has the expertise to wisely select where and how to reign in expenses to ensure that our tax dollars are spent as efficiently as possible. She is a dedicated financial guardian.
