Support Antes, Karlson & Nolan for Board of Selectmen

Voting in the upcoming Town of Wayland election and participating in the several nights of Town Meeting to follow is incredibly important.  When you vote on April 1st, I hope that you will cast your ballot for three terrific candidates to the Board of Selectman: Mary Antes, Cherry Karlson and Joe Nolan.  They each have significant experience in Wayland Town government; they are smart; they listen; and they understand how to work through our issues while maintaining the best aspects of our community.  Each has contributed enormously to make our town a great place to live. 

I have worked with Cherry Karlson as a Member of the Finance Committee for the past several years.  Cherry has incredible knowledge of how the community runs.  She is smart, fair and hard working.  She is one of our best resources and she will contribute immensely to the Town as a Selectman.

Joe Nolan has been a Selectman for many years, and he is not only knowledgeable about Wayland and how it operates, he is also wonderful at bringing people together to work out our differences and to find solutions to issues.  Joe is a tremendous voice of reason who will continue to work hard for the community.

Mary Antes is a former Selectman who has continued to work for the community in a number of ways since her last tenure on the Board.  She is fair and wise, as I have learned in working with her on a number of issues that have come before the Finance Committee over the past several years.

Together, these three candidates will lead Wayland forward.  Please go to the polls and vote for each of them, as they will collectively continue to make Wayland great.  These are three wonderful people who really care about the town, its people and our sense of community.

Finally, please make an effort to attend Town Meeting, beginning on Thursday, April 3rd, and continuing the following week for at least one or two additional evenings.  We all need to participate to make sure that the running of Town government is done well, by supporting a solid budget that has been weighed carefully by the Finance Committee and by supporting the various articles that are important to our future.
