Jeanne Downs for School Committee

We are writing to express our wholehearted support for Jeanne Downs’ School Committee campaign. She has been a valuable and tireless contributor to so many aspects of the town’s school system over the years, as her four children have moved through the system. Her passion, dedication, and effectiveness have been clearly demonstrated in her many PTO roles, as well as in her work in support of the new pool. And as many people know, she has been a wonderful swimming coach to so many children (and adults) over the years. 

Jeanne also has extensive experience in finance, and a grounded understanding of the importance of prioritizing objectives, while living within real-world budgets. Perhaps more importantly, Jeanne’s personality and emphasis on listening and working collaboratively make her a great candidate for the important position School Committee member.

The Wayland School system was central to our decision to live in this community.  We are confident that with Jeanne on School Committee, the schools and our students will continue to thrive and prosper.
