Wayland Selectmen to Interview Firms For TA Search Assistance

Selectmen fired the former town administrator in August.

The Wayland Board of Selectmen on Nov. 18 will interview two consulting firms that are being considered for help in searching for a new permanent town administrator, according to a preview notice for the meeting. 

Selectmen will interview MMA Consulting and Municipal Resources and then possibly vote on hiring a consultant, according to the preview notice from acting town administrator John Senchyshyn. 

Whichever company is selected will assist in finding a new permanent town administrator Selectmen fired former administrator Fred Turkington in August. Senchyshyn has been serving as the acting administrator since them. Selectmen have chosen Robert Mercier to soon take over as the acting administrator. As of last week, the town was still negotiating a contract with Mercier.
