Wayland Middle School Conducting Candy Drive for Troops

When school reopens, you can donate your extra candy.

When schools reopen after the snowstorm, Wayland Middle School will be running its second annual candy drive for the troops.

Operation Gratitude was scheduled to take place Nov. 1-7, but has been delayed by the unexpected snow day on Nov. 1.

When students return to school, they are invited to bring their extra Halloween candy to the front lobby between 7 a.m.-7:30 a.m.and deposit it in their class' container.

The candy will then be shipped overseas to servicemen and women.

If a class reaches the minimum goal, everyone in the grade will receive a reward.
