A vehicle left unlocked overnight at 399 Old Connecticut Path in Wayland was reported stolen on June 16.
According to a report, the vehicle, a 2003 black Toyota Tundra, is registered as a business vehicle. The driver, Sajid Lateef, told police he had been working at the Old Connecticut Path location and left his vehicle in the driveway there overnight on June 15, as he often does.
He said the vehicle was unlocked with the keys in the center cupholder when he left at about 10 p.m. on June 15.
When Lateef returned at about 9 a.m. Saturday, June 16, he found the truck missing. Lateef told police he made several calls to ensure that no one had picked up the vehicle unbeknown to him, but no one had.
Lateef said the truck contained several construction tools, including shovels and crowbars.
Police Chief Bob Irving said it is unknown whether this case is connected to the rash of that occurred on the same night.
Police issued a BOLO to surrounding towns, but the vehicle had not been located as of Tuesday afternoon.
