Wayland Celebrates Chinese New Year Jan 25

On Saturday January 25, 2 to 5pm, celebrate Chinese New Year at the Wayland High School auditorium and Commons. Chinese New Year is a happy festival of peace, harmony and unity! This community celebration is sponsored by the Wayland PTO, Wayland 375 event series, and the Wayland Chinese American Association.

* High School Commons 2pm to 245pm - Chinese folk art and crafts by Chinese Folk Art Workshop

* High School Theatre 230pm to 3pm - slide show - Chinese language and culture learning in Wayland schools

* High School Theatre 3pm to 5pm - traditional performances - folk dances, dragon and lion dance, and more

Performing young artists group: Chinese Folk Art Workshop - a certified Gold Youth Organization, President’s Volunteer Service Award Program. This group of student performers  were invited to perform in Peabody Essex Museum and many school districts over 30 venues a year.  Click the link to watch their performance.

Ticket price: Adults $8; Students & seniors $6; Under 5: free. 

Family discounted ticket: $20 per family available online, in stores or from school
