Interfaith Woodland and Wetland Adventure Week

Interfaith Woodland and Wetland Adventure Week

This one week summer camp is open to children entering 2nd through 5th grade and will run July 14-18, 9 AM – 12 Noon. It will be a time for outdoor play: Explore the wonders of woods and fields and streams! Be a detective to identify plants and animals. Play games, explore trails and investigate rivers, brooks, and ponds. Make friends with a tree, get wet, and clear trails. Make nature crafts, keep a nature journal, read maps, and catch bugs. Every session will include hikes, games, activities, snack, and a story. Be ready to be outdoors rain or shine. The camp will be based at Open Spirit, 39 Edwards Street, Framingham, but will include days spent at other local nature spots. Cost is $100 for the week, or $25 per day. Scholarships are available. Children should wear long light-colored pants, and clothes and sneakers that can get dirty. Bring raincoat, rain pants, rain boots for rainy day, sunscreen, bug spray, and an extra pair of clothes for just in case. This camp is sponsored by Open Spirit, the Nature Chaplaincy Program of Ma’yan TikvahTransition Wayland, and Wayland Walks. For more information, contact rabbikza@verizon.net or 508-877-8162.
