Appreciating Nature, at Tippling Rock

All are invited to join Chris Stix for this outdoor workshop. Chris holds an environmental studies degree from the University of Wisconsin. He was trained by Joseph Cornell, the author of Listening to Nature.

Appreciating Nature enhances our joy and wonder from being present in nature, our powers of observation and our aesthetic eye for the natural world. The activities help us hear more bird and animal sounds and see nature with undistracted clarity. A recent participant said “I came away from Appreciating Nature with a deeper, almost magical, sense of connection with the natural world. Months later I continue to love getting outside to enjoy my heightened power of observation.” The program begins with activities focused on observing the natural world and includes exercises that help us express our connection to nature. The activities in this program will be new. Please bring a water bottle and something to sit on the ground with as well as clothes appropriate for being outside in November.

Registration required.  SVT Members: Free, Non-Members: $10. The workshop is taking place at the Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury.
