As of Jan. 23, The following people had taken out nomination papers for the April 1 town election. Candidates have until Feb. 11 to return the papers with at least 50 signatures.

-Board of Assessors (3-year term): Jayson S. Brodie. Returned papers on Dec. 10.

-Board of Assessors (3-year-term): David M. Hill. Took out papers on Jan. 6. He currently sits on the board as an appointed member.

-Board of Health (3-year-term): Thomas J. Klem. Took out papers on Jan. 6. He is currently the chair of the health board. 

-Board of Library Trustee (3-year term): Aida A. Gennis. Took out papers on Jan. 8. Gennis is currently the chairman of the board.

-School Committee (3-year term): Barbara fletcher. Took out papers on Jan. 8. Fletcher is currently the chair of the School Committee.

-Board of Selectmen (3-year term): Cherry Karlson. Took out papers on Jan. 8. Karlson has said she intends to run. She is currently on the Finance Committee.

-Board of Public Works ((3-year term): Christopher Brown. Took out papers on Jan. 9

-Town Clerk (2-year term to fill a vacancy. Town Clerk Lois Toombs is retiring): Beth R. Klein. Took out papers on Jan. 10.

-Housing Authority (5-year term): Kevin S. Goodwin. Took out papers on Jan. 13. Goodwin is currently the vice chairman of the board.

-Moderator (3-year term): Dennis Berry. Took out papers on Jan.13. He is currently the town moderator.

-Board of Library Trustee (3-year term): Lynne J. Lipcon. Took out papers on Jan. 15

-School Committee (3-year term): Jeanne Downs. Took out papers on Jan. 17.

Planning Board, Associate Member (5-year member): Daniel C. Hill. Took out papers on Jan. 21.

Commissioner of Trust Funds (2-year term): James C. Murphy. Took out papers on Jan. 21. Murphy is currently on the board. He is running to fill out a two-year term.  

Planning Board (5-year term): Kent D. Greenawalt. Took out papers on Jan. 21. He is currently the chair of the Planning Board.
