5 Things: Christmas Tree Removal, Health Clinic and Euro Trivia

A few things you need to know on Jan. 4, 2013, in Wayland.

1. Christmas Tree Removal. The Wayland High School freshman class will take that Christmas tree off your hands as part of its fundraising efforts this year. You need to schedule a time for the pickup, all of which will occur on Saturday, Jan. 12. Details here.

2. Health Clinic. It's time for your weekly clinic at Parmenter Community Health Center in Wayland. Stop by for free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings.

3. Wayland Reads Update. The kickoff event for the 2013 Wayland Reads event, "Wayland Reads Poetry," will take place on March 24 at Wayland Middle School. Former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky and Boston University professor Robert Pinsky will discuss his favorite poem project.
