5 Things: Traffic Alert, Warrant Hearing, Flu Clinics and More

A busy Thursday in Wayland has a few things in store.

1. Center of Town Traffic Alert. If you're seeing this before you head to work, rethink your morning commute. The traffic light at routes 20 and 27 (Boston Post Road and Cochituate Road) will be out from 6 a.m. until about 3 p.m. In fact, if you're thinking of heading home in the early afternoon, you might want to detour then, too.

2. Chat with the governor. Gov. Deval Patrick will join Patch readers this afternoon at 1:30 for a live chat. Check out the chat page now and set an alert reminding you to tune in, or just head that way at 1:30 p.m.

3. Warrant Hearing. The Board of Selectmen will hold its Special Town Meeting Warrant hearing tonight. This is your chance to ask questions and seek clarification on the issues before the Oct. 3 Special Town Meeting.
