5 Things: Singing on the Pond, Voter Deadline, and Tacky Ties

It's Wednesday in Wayland and we have five things you need to know today.

1. Calling all Wayland firefighters and police. Frozen Yogurt Innovations is holding holding an appreciation night for you. Stop by the shop with your family, friends and badge between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and receive 10 percent off.

2. Open Mic Night. The Dudley Chateau is holidng its Open Mic Night tonight beginning at 8 p.m. Stop by to enjoy a meal, drink and song.

3. Voter deadline. Today's the day, Wayland. It's your last chance to register to vote in the Nov. 6 election. Pick up the form at the Wayland Town Building, fill it out in the lobby and drop it off at the town clerk's office.

4. Facebook battle is on! Wayland Patch and Weston Patch are in a battle leading up to the annual Thanksgiving Day game. Instead of football, we're battling for friends. Help Wayland Patch beat Weston Patch in the Facebook friends battle by "liking" the Wayland Patch page on Facebook.

5. Break out the tacky tie! Today is Wear Something Gaudy Day. You won't have a better opportunity this year to sport the loud tie, themed socks or whatever else you don't have the guts to wear on a normal day.
